23 Tomich
Tomich is a small hamlet situated in the scenic area of Glen Affric. The area is a must for walking, munro bagging, mountain biking, fishing, golfing and photographers and anyone who enjoys the countryside, it is a country retreat regarded as one of the best Scotland and the Highlands has to offer. The area is steeped in history, and in particular was very popular in the Victorian era. The Guisachan Estate, owned in the latter half of the 19th century, was owned by Lord Tweedmouth and was host to many prominent and famous visitors; George V and Queen Mary, Gladstone and Winston Churchill, who was reputed to have learned how to drive on the estate.
As a small point of interest the ‘Golden Retriever’ dog was first bred on the Guisachan estate in the 1860’s .
The villages of Cannich and Drumnadrochit are not far away and have a variety of places to eat and local shops that provide the opportunity to stock up on any provisions you may need. Loch Ness is near by and Inverness is 14 miles 'up the road' from Drumnadrochit.

Guest Reviews
excellent traditional scottish cottage which fulfilled all my needs and
enhanced my stay in the area.many thanks also to michael and jackie for
their help and kindness
Mr S, Largs
We liked the location of the accommodation and particularly the big
fireplace and the large basket of logs (especially since the weather
allowed us to put it to use). It was well kept in our opinion and had
some nice characteristics which we would expect in an old cottage.
We also liked the friendly owners of the accommodation.

Lovely house with great views.
We particularly enjoyed watching the
bird life at the feeders in the back garden.
Tomich is also a charming
wee village.
The quietness and the ambiance... The fire place and the nature...The kindness of the owners...
Our first time in Scotland and we really enjoyed staying at the beautiful village, looking at the fire every evening and had some lovely walks around the area.
We would love to come back soon. Thank you.

Thank you to the owners.
M & S, Aberdeen
Excellent accommodation with character.
Both the owners were extremity
helpful and made us feel welcome.
If I were to come again, which is
very likely, I wouldn't want to change anything.
Family from Lancing
We had a wonderfull holiday and loved lighting the fires.
We look forward to coming back.

The accommodation was just perfect for my use - we would like to
return one day and continue our holiday up there as we did not achieve
everything and the location of the cottage is in a quiet village and
thats just what I love.
I really did enjoy the cottage and its location
and the people next door were very friendly.
I have no complaints. Found the person I booked with very helpful indeed.
